Bright New Lights Pre-K Program
North Light’s pre-K program provides a nurturing, quality and affordable education for children in Manayunk and the surrounding neighborhoods. Our students leave North Light ready for success in school.
Our pre-K students are ages 2 to 4. The 2011-2012 school year will run from September 15, 2011 to June 15, 2012. The day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The class is instructed by our highly qualified staff, who possess a profound background in education. It is the responsibility of the teacher and her team to create a stimulating environment and to guide the educational experiences of each child, while working in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Learning Standards for Early Childhood Education.
Our goals for the children:
- To make good decisions about their behaviors
- To gain reading and math readiness skills and concepts
- To cooperate with other children and adults
- To communicate with others about their experiences and feelings
- To take initiative and solve problems
Costs:
8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. – $38/day
2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – additional $11/day.
